Objective Setting Process Timeline

October 15, 2019
Objective Setting Process Launch
October 15 – November 15, 2019 (soft deadline)
Employee discusses goals/objectives for the upcoming review period with their Manager, records the agreed upon goals and professional development activities in SF Goals.
November 15 – December 15, 2019 (firm deadline)
Manager reviews goals/objectives and professional development plans submitted by Employee. If needed, goals can be changed/modified during this period.
Goals are locked once approved
Throughout the review period
During review period Employee keeps track of completion of the goals/objectives and professional development activities and updates SF Goals records reflecting status of each of the agreed upon goals/objectives and professional development activities.

Performance Assessment Process Timeline

by May 29
All Advancement Professional (AP) staff complete their Activity Report and submit it to their manager in the Halogen system by May 29, 2019.
May 30 – June 20
Manager reviews and completes the online performance assessment form and reflects on feedback and coaching discussions that occurred with AP staff members throughout the review period.
by June 20
Manager submits the completed performance assessment with a recommended overall performance rating by June 20 for the Advancement Compensation Committee (ACC). The ACC must review all recommendations before any discussion with AP staff members take place. All managers are to follow their Faculty’s/Division’s approval process prior to submitting their recommendations to the committee.
June 21 – June 28 (TBC)
Advancement Compensation Committee (ACC) Review Meeting.
by July 5
Compensation to confirm the approved performance ratings to Divisional HR Offices for distribution to Managers.
by July 26
Manager conducts performance discussions with AP staff members. Manager submits finalized and approved online assessment back to Employee.
by July 31
AP staff complete Employee Comments and Signs Off on the online assessment.
