Goal Setting Process Timeline
August 9 – September 28, 2018*
Employee records the agreed upon goals and professional development activities in Halogen and submits the online form to Manager for review and approval.
October 1 – November 30, 2018 (updated)
Manager reviews goals/objectives and professional development plans submitted by Employee using Halogen form and approves them online.
by March 31, 2019**
During review period Employee keeps track of completion of the goals/objectives and professional development activities and updates Halogen records reflecting status of each of the agreed upon goals/objectives and professional development.
* Goals and Professional development activities can be recorded and confirmed in Halogen by an employee and their manager any time during the period from launch of the online process until November 30, 2018. ** Assuming launch of the 2018/2019 Performance assessment process starts from April 1, 2019

Performance Assessment Process Timeline
April 16 – May 3, 2019
PM and Confidential staff complete the Activity report (Part A of the online assessment).
by May 3, 2019
Part A (Activity Report) from P/M and Confidential staff members is due to Reviewer by May 3
May 6 – June 3, 2019
Reviewer completes the Competencies Worksheet and Summary identifying the behaviors demonstrated during the review period and obtains additional feedback on performance if appropriate. Reviewer completes the Values & Competencies Summary (Part B of the online assessment).
by June 3, 2019
Reviewer submits the completed performance assessment with a recommended overall performance rating by June 3 for Divisional review. Reviewers should not share recommended ratings with staff prior to the Divisional Review.
June 4 – 21, 2019
Divisional HR Offices facilitate Divisional Reviews. Approved ratings are communicated to the Reviewer.
by July 21, 2019
Reviewer conducts face to face performance assessment discussions and confirms all ratings with P/M and Confidential staff members. Reviewer submits finalized and approved online assessment back to Employee
by July 31, 2019
PM and Confidential staff complete Employee Summary Comments and Signs Off on the online assessment.
